NEW YEAR 7-DAY FOCUS PROGRAM

Saturday's Focus

20 Minute Walk Outside

Step outside and let fresh air and vitamin D work its magic.

Whether it’s a stroll through your neighbourhood, a park, or along the beach, today’s habit is all about reconnecting with nature and moving your body gently.

It’s a small act that makes a big difference to both your mental and physical health. Walking improves circulation, reduces stress, and boosts creativity and mood. Spending time outdoors enhances connection to nature and supports mental well-being.

Inspiration

Where to Walk: Go to a park, walk along the beach, or explore your neighbourhood.

Timing:
Try mornings for energy or evenings to unwind.

Add Variety: Walk with a podcast, calming music, or a friend for a social boost.

For Nature Lovers:

  • Walk a nearby trail or visit a botanical garden for a change of scenery.
  • Explore local parks or beaches for fresh air and grounding.

Social Walks:

  • Invite a friend or family member to join you for quality time.
  • Walk your dog or volunteer to walk a neighbour’s pet.

Mindful Walks:

  • Walk in silence and focus on your breath, the sound of your steps, and the feeling of the ground under your feet.
  • Practice gratitude by noticing things around you that bring you joy.

I often go for walks with my noise cancelling headphones in and listen to nothing (just to block out the busy noise) or I'll put on the Peaceful Meditation playlist from Spotify and just let my mind wander.

There are no rules 🤍
